DegreeMaps was designed to empower students by providing clarity in their academic journey, and I had to reflect that mission from the very first mark. The earliest iteration of the DegreeMaps logo emerged as a raw, unfiltered idea—sketched by hand, instinctive in its form. Black and white, free of embellishment, it distilled the concept to its essence: a balance between academia and navigation. As the brand took shape, this initial design became the foundation upon which every visual element was built.

Devised through the creative process, I sketched this original draft with my iPad and Apple Pencil, using Procreate for precise detailing. The logo seamlessly blends a collegiate red map pin icon with a graduation cap silhouette and was later fine-tuned in Adobe Fresco with vector brush precision. It symbolizes the path to academic achievement, a visual narrative of students' goals. The logo represents the very essence of DegreeMaps' mission and will soon be immortalized as an NFT on the blockchain.

Complementing the iconic logo is the full emblem, accompanied by the semibold typography of "DegreeMaps." Rendered in Proxima Nova font, matching the logo's striking red hue, this design embodies the brand's identity and commitment to academic excellence. The logo's creation and refinement took place in Sketch, ensuring a seamless blend of visual aesthetics and communicative impact.
